Progress in Rehabilitation Medicine is a fully Open Access journal. The journal is currently supported in full by the Japanese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine.

Article Processing Charges

There are currently no Article Processing charges for Progress in Rehabilitation Medicine.
However, the Article Processing charge is subject to change without prior notice.

Creative Commons Licenses

The copyright to articles and their contents published in Progress in Rehabilitation Medicine belongs to the Japanese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine. However, Progress in Rehabilitation Medicine applies the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC-BY-NC-ND) to all works published by the journal on or after October 1st, 2019. For non-commercial purposes, this lets others distribute and copy the article, provided that they credit the author(s) and do not alter or modify the article.

Copyright Transfer

Authors are required to transfer the copyright of accepted manuscripts to the Japanese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine. Authors can freely reuse any portion of their own work in a new work of their own as long as it is a scholarly or not-for-profit derivative reuse and provided a citation to Progress in Rehabilitation Medicine is included.

If a manuscript is accepted, the authors undertake that they will not publish the same article elsewhere in any format, in English or in any other language, without the written consent of the Japanese Association for Rehabilitation Medicine.

Preprints Policy

The journal will accept for review papers that have been previously published as preprints. Authors should include a link to the preprint version in their cover letter. Authors should verify that the license required by the preprint platform is compatible with our copyright policy. We request that preprints are listed within the citation included in the reference list. When the paper is published, authors must link to the article from the preprint server to ensure readers can access and cite the final peer-reviewed version.
