Special Issue: Rehabilitation and Nutritional Care for Sarcopenia, Frailty and Malnutrition.

Dear Colleagues,

The prevalence of sarcopenia, frailty, and malnutrition is increasing as the world's older population expands. Sarcopenia, frailty, and malnutrition are associated with functional impairment, disability, and handicap. Moreover, sarcopenia, frailty, and malnutrition often exist simultaneously, and their synergistic effects may worsen clinical outcomes, thus a comprehensive approach is required.

In older adults with sarcopenia, frailty, and malnutrition, management including rehabilitation and nutritional care is essential. Both nutritional care and rehabilitation have the potential to improve physical function, activities of daily living, and quality of life in these older adults. Further research is required to develop more effective assessment methods for sarcopenia, frailty, and malnutrition, as well as management methods including appropriate nutritional support and rehabilitation.

The purpose of this special issue is to provide the latest knowledge on rehabilitation and nutritional care of sarcopenia, frailty, and malnutrition. We welcome submissions of clinical studies, epidemiological studies, and updated reviews (scoping reviews, systematic reviews, and well-written narrative reviews).
